Are you an artist wanna-be scared to take a class? Or are you an experienced artist looking to get out of a rut? Do you think art is just about making pretty pictures? When you get in a spot of stress could you use new tools to move on? Hope to learn a process you can do at home with minimal supplies? If so , then try this class where a number of creative problems to solve will be introduced through several drawing and painting media. You will create art from your own intuitive personal point of reference. You will be tapping into the artist within. It will be a risk-free environment and all supplies will be provided.
Sue Lewis is a mixed media artist and silversmith with a BA in English and Art Education and an MA in Painting and Metals from Iowa State University. Post graduate work from Drake University included art therapy, counseling, and administration programs. With the exception of teaching English briefly and serving as a consultant for the Gifted and Talented programs for Des Moines High Schools, most of her career was dedicated to art education, K-college. Sue continues to be committed to nurturing the unique creative spirit in self and others through her own mixed media paintings, her silver jewelry, and her teaching. Minimum registration for class is 6. Can cancel up to 2 weeks before the start of class with a full refund. and up to three days before the class with half refund. No refund after the class starts.
