Class Description:

This class will work with fabricating metal jewelry with cold connections. A number of techniques will be demonstrated and applied: sawing, piercing, forming , surface design and cold connections. A packet of tools will be loaned for the three week class. All expendable supplies will be provided with the cost of the class. Each student should complete two or more silver or copper pieces.

Instructor Background:

Sue Lewis is a mixed media painter and a silversmith with a B.A. in English & Art Education and an MA in Metals and Painting. She taught for 30 years k-college. Her work has been in galleries in Iowa, Colorado and AZ. Sue has always been a cheerleader for life in general , for the arts and specifically for the role art can play in building self-confidence in all who are willing to explore the creative process.
