Class Description:

Join award winning collage artist, Mimi Damrauer, for another fun day creating a handmade “Look Book” using hand made foam rubber stamps and collage papers that you make yourself during our workshop!

Learn how to make your own handmade chunky rubber stamps to use when creating a nice stack of collage papers using a large Gel Plate. We will use those papers to create a book to use as a journal, a photo book, or an original gift card.

Feel free to bring any of your favorite papers (any journaling papers, photos, or images that you love and want to incorporate) to make your artwork more personal.

You will leave with your own stash of rubber stamps, a nice stack of gorgeous papers, and at least one completed personal book.

Projects:
RUBBER STAMPS: I will teach you how to design and make really cool chunky shaped foam stamps.
COLLAGE PAPERS: Make a fab stash of 8x10 Collage Papers with some of your stamp shapes. If you took my other Gel Print class, these papers are different and next level!
LOOK BOOK: Learn how to use the gorgeous papers that you make in our workshop in a simple but really fun book that can be used in many ways. I’ll have a bunch of samples to show you.

All supplies included for the class. Just bring your lunch and drink. Wear paint clothes or bring an apron.

6 Hour Class + Lunch Break in the middle.

About Phoenix based paper collage artist Mimi Damrauer...

Mixed Media Collage is a culmination of everything that I love... painting, fiber (paper & fabric), & sewing.

My work is Outsider Art (self-taught) and has a primitive folk art feel. I grew up in a creative family with a love of travel, and that is reflected in my work. I mainly work in a series, creating an original piece and exploring that idea/design by altering color and/or size to create related pieces.
