Website Updates

Major changes were made on the website for the 2022-2023 season. However, almost all the changes are "behind the curtain" so what you see still looks almost exactly as it did before. Here's a few differences which you will see and hope they make things easier.

Website Update - Slightly new look

If you are not logged in to the website, you will see the word Login in the upper right hand corner of every page on the website.

Website Logged In

Logged in showing your name and that you are not a member.

When you log in you should note your name now appears at the upper right. In this example it's showing this person is not a member.

User logged in. Status is Pending.

Example of a member joined or renewed, but paid by a check. Their status remains Pending until the check is received by the Treasurer.

User logged in. Status is Current.

Example of a member now current. When paying by PayPal / Credit Card, you are immediately current.

Should You Logoff?

The short answer is you don't have to. If you simply leave our website and come back to it with the same computer and browser, you will still be logged on when you return. This is how it worked on our website for years, but last year the software we were utilizing suddenly started forcing logoffs of our users without warning or notice. And it created a lot of trouble for the users and the website administrators because users didn't know they weren't logged in.

On many websites (and especially financial institutions) they advise you to logoff, and if you don't they will do it automatically after inactivity as little as 10 minutes. The reason should be obvious. If someone gets on your computer and they can go into your bank account, they do a lot of damage. That same thing cannot be said of someone getting on your TAL account.
